What happens in a sports injury?
In musculoskeletal or sports injuries , pain or tenderness around the damaged area is caused by inflammation of the underlying tissue. Inflammation is the body's protective and healing response to a physical injury. It causes blood fluids (plasma) and white blood cells to flood the area, resulting in swelling , pain , redness and heat. Over time, the damaged cells are repaired and the inflammation response is switched off. Depending on the severity of the injury , this could take days or weeks, even months. For non-everyday bruises, if the body is not aided by proper care and treatment, the injury could either persist or leave the sufferer debilitated to some extent. |

How does Tabib YapChanKor's treatment work?
One theory is that our medicine expedites the natural healing process of the body through improving the circulation of the blood and other fluids around the affected area. Because Chinese sports medicine developed with a focus on therapies that work quickly and efficiently, the medicine that we use today is supported more by the evidence of generations of use, involving thousands, if not millions of people, who have continued to affirm its efficacy. A theory that integrates well with the existing body of scientific knowledge has yet to be worked out, primarily because of a lack of attention and research funds devoted to this area. Our longer term goal is to be able to fund the clinical trials necessary to show the efficacy of our medicine. |
How much does the treatment cost?
Our cost varies with the patient, depending on the length of the treatment required and the amount of medicine used, but it is comparable, if not more competitive than alternatives like chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists. Given that many of our patients come to us after seeking solutions at these other alternatives without success, we are confident that not only are we competitively priced, but that we offer a treatment solution that works. In fact, we offer all new patients a money-back guarantee (see next question) because we are confident that if we can treat your pain, you will feel better and will want to complete the treatment. We note that so far, none of our competitors have offered a similar guarantee. |
How does the money-back guarantee work?
The money-back guarantee applies to all new Tabib YapChanKor customers. If after our initial assessment, we determine that your pain is treatable, you will be guaranteed your money back for the first two treatment sessions. After these two sessions, if you don't feel better, and would like to discontinue the treatment, we will refund your money back, no questions asked. Since what "feeling better" here means is different for each patient, we will leave the judgement to our patient's own honest assessment. |
How long does a treatment last?
The length of the treatment varies with the patient but typically lasts between 5 and 7 sessions. For example, an ankle sprain usually can be treated within 5 days but treatment for a severe back injury can last longer, and require routine exercises and in some cases, follow up sessions for maintenance. |
Does Tabib YapChanKor have a referral program ?
Yes. Much of our business depends on our customers word-of-mouth recommendations, which is why our reputation is so important to us. We recently launched a referral program allowing our customers to send our information to their friends or family members who are suffering from muscle, joint or sports-related pain. Customers referred to us in this way receive a discount on their treatment. To learn more about our referral program, please click here. |
